The CDC400-6 6V 400Ah L16 Deep Cycle AGM Battery uses advanced carbon-enhanced AGM-GEL construction engineered for extended deep-discharge cycling. The addition of carbon to the negative plate improves charge acceptance and reduces sulfation under partial state-of-charge conditions, while the AGM-GEL electrolyte system delivers stronger cycle performance than standard general-purpose AGM batteries. This combination makes the CDC400-6 particularly well-suited to demanding cyclic duty in renewable energy battery banks, off-grid power systems, and solar energy storage.
The sealed, valve-regulated, non-spillable design eliminates the watering and acid spills associated with flooded L16 batteries while greatly reducing routine gassing under normal operating conditions, and permits installation in any orientation. Unlike flooded deep cycle batteries that require regular electrolyte maintenance, the CDC400-6 is completely maintenance-free, with a self-discharge rate below 2% per month allowing storage up to six months before a refresh charge is required.
