Description
The Victron Energy 48V 10000W Quattro with a built-in charger is a 10000VA 230V AC inverter that is designed for both residential and professional use. This unit combines both an inverter and a high-power charger into a single elegant package. Like all Victron inverters, its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology, plus multiple system integration features.
The Quattro range of inverters is suitable for a wide range of applications. This 48V 10000W Quattro with a 140 amp charger and VE.BUS can be used with Canbat lead-acid and lithium (LIFEPO4) batteries.

Two AC inputs with integrated transfer switch
The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example, the public grid and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro will automatically connect to the active source.
Two AC Outputs
The main output has no-break functionality. The Quattro takes over the supply to the connected loads in the event of a grid failure or when shore/generator power is disconnected. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption. The second output is live only when AC is available on one of the inputs of the Quattro. Loads that should not discharge the battery, like a water heater for example, can be connected to this output.
Split phase option
A split-phase AC source can be obtained by connecting our autotransformer (see data sheet on www.victronenergy.com) to a ‘European’ inverter programmed to supply 240V / 60Hz.
Three-phase capability
Three units can be configured for three-phase output. But that’s not all: up to 4 sets of three 15kVA units can be parallel connected to provide 144kW / 180kVA inverter power and 2400A charging capacity.
PowerControl – Dealing with limited generator, shore side or grid power
The Quattro is a very powerful battery charger. It will therefore draw a lot of current from the generator or shore side supply (16A per 5kVA Quattro at 230VAC). A current limit can be set on each AC input. The Quattro will then take account of other AC loads and use whatever is spare for charging, thus preventing the generator or mains supply from
being overloaded.
PowerAssist – Boosting shore or generator power
This feature takes the principle of PowerControl to a further dimension allowing the Quattro to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. Where peak power is so often required only for a limited period, the Quattro will make sure that insufficient mains or generator power is immediately compensated for by power from the battery. When the load reduces, the spare power is used to recharge the battery.
Solar energy: AC power available even during a grid failure
The Quattro can be used in off-grid as well as grid-connected PV and other alternative energy systems.
Loss of mains detection software is available.
System Configuring
– In the case of a stand-alone application, if settings have to be changed, this can be done in a matter of minutes with a DIP switch setting procedure.
– Parallel and three-phase applications can be configured with VE.BUS Quick Configure and VE.BUS System Configurator Software.
– Off-grid, grid-interactive and self-consumption applications, involving grid-tie inverters and/or MPPT Solar Chargers can be configured with Assistants (dedicated software for specific applications).
On-site Monitoring and control
Several options are available: Battery Monitor, Multi Control Panel, Color Control GX or other GX devices, smartphone or tablet. (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
Remote Monitoring and control
Color Control GX or other GX devices.
Data can be stored and displayed on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website, free of charge.
Remote configuring
When connected to the Ethernet, systems with a Color Control GX or other GX device can be accessed, and settings can be changed remotely.

I don’t usually give reviews but I had to do one for this. The Victron Energy 48V 10000W Quattro is amazing, handles a huge load of power and capacity. It is expensive not gonna lie; but you get what you paid for; an inverter that you can rely on.

The Victron Energy 48V 10000W Quattro is an outstanding inverter. I bought a bunch of these units to configure them for three-phase output, and they work exactly as they were intended to do. Have to admit I had my doubts about the setup first but they exceeded my expectation. The only downside is that it doesn’t come with USB or RS232 or any other adaptors; so you need to buy those separately; moving forward, so far it’s working well and without any lag or problem.

Pretty good inverter, works as you expect it to do. The Victron Energy 48V 10000W Quattro can handle a high voltage power, works really great with the off grid power system. The only thing that kinda bugged me was that it didn’t come with any adaptors or RS232 so that you can connect to your laptop or computer; apart from that, I am very happy with the inverter, it’s doing it’s job with a fantastic performance system.

For those buying the Victron inverter, I suggest that also get GX devices, BMV-712, Smart Dongles, RS232, and more. You can still use the inverter without any of those but if you wanna have the full computer controlled operation and monitoring system, you have to buy those accessories separately. I did the same thing when I bought the Victron Energy 48V 10000W Quattro along with the accessories; and it is working like a beast. I set it up with m solar power system in my RV and so far it is performing really well.

So glad I went with this inverter, the Victron Energy 48V 10000W Quattro is a powerful machine with it’s superior performance and it’s multiple system integration features; this inverter can do all that you can think of for your big budget projects. It has two AC outputs which is handy especially when you want to connect to two generators which I did for my line of work, and it is working amazingly well. If you are looking for a powerful and decent inverter, this is it.

Victron Energy makes some pretty good products, I have had some very bad experiences with the inverters before and it was really frustrating to deal with; so my friend recommended me to go with the Victron one, and I gotta say it’s working pretty amazing. I got the the Victron Energy 48V 10000W Quattro, the setup and the configuration was very easy. It’s very powerful, can take on high voltage power and the fan is quiet you can barely hear it. Overall, I say this is a great piece of tech and a solid machine.
