The Smart Battery Shunt
The SmartShunt is an all-in-one battery monitor, only without a display. Your phone acts as the display. The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App on your phone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, like state of charge, time to go, historical information and much more.
Alternatively, the SmartShunt can be connected and be read by a GX device. Connection to the SmartShunt is made via a VE.Direct cable.
The SmartShunt is a good alternative for a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is needed but less wiring and clutter is wanted. The SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used for: monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor.
The SmartShunt is available in 2000A.

A bit pricey but better than buying a couple of Smartshunt 500A/50MV. Less cluster and wirings, the Victron energy Smartshunt 2000A/50MV is an amazing piece of accessory.

Great Victron energy product but limited Bluetooth range, it only has like 10 or 15 feet range. But I don’t mind it, with this your battery will have no secrets hiding from you.

I have been using Victron Energy products for a long time and yes there are some ups and downs. I connected my Smartshunt 2000A/50MV with my other Victron equipments and it works flawlessly. So far no issues at all, only downside is that it has a limited bluetooth range; other than that, it’s a fantastic product.

The Victron energy Smartshunt is pretty good, I have been using these accessories for my projects and they work just fine. I usually buy the 2000A/50MV ones for my projects but the others works as well. The only problem is the bluetooth range, if you are ok with it; then I would highly recommend it.
