HIGH TEMPERATURE BATTERIES
CHT batteries can operate in high temperatures without having any negative impact on the life of the batteries. The batteries have several extra features, such as fast charging capabilities, long design life and an impressive cyclic count. Our CHT batteries have been installed by many reputable companies worldwide, such as Saudi Aramco for the Fadhilli Bridge Project and the Shedgun Project. Unlike standard lead-acid batteries, which are affected by extreme temperatures, our high temperature batteries are specifically designed for high-temperature environments, both indoors and outdoors. If you live in a very hot environment, such as in the Arabian Gulf region or Central America, standard lead-acid batteries will not last long. Too much heat can cause a standard lead-acid battery to inflate and pose a risk. To ensure safe and long-life operation, you need to use high temperature batteries that can withstand the heat. Our CHT batteries are not only unaffected by heat, but they also have a long design life of 8 years. CHT batteries also have the capability of fast recharge and excellent cycle life. High temperatures can severely decrease the life of a lead-acid battery, increasing maintenance and battery replacement costs. This is aside from the unwanted downtime you may face. Keeping batteries in an optimal temperature of 20⁰-35⁰C can be a difficult and an expensive process. This is why we designed our High Temperature battery range. Our proprietary lead electrochemistry technology increases the battery’s power density and temperature resistance. The technology also works to reduce corrosion and component ageing. Canbat high temp batteries are encased in a heat resistant PPO case, which is non-brominated and flame retardant (UL 94 VO). These superior covers mean our CHT battery series is designed to withstand operating temps of between -40⁰C to +65⁰C (-40⁰F to +149⁰F).
