The Canbat 12V 210Ah Lead Carbon Front Terminal Battery is a pure lead carbon VRLA battery engineered for rack-mounted and cabinet-installed stationary energy-storage systems that require maximum front-terminal reserve capacity, partial-state-of-charge tolerance, and efficient recharge between discharge events. Rated at 210Ah (C10) and 2,520Wh with 2,500+ cycles at 50% depth of discharge, support for deeper discharge profiles up to 80% DoD where system design allows, and a 20+ year design floating life at 20°C, the CLC210-12FT is the highest-capacity model in the Canbat front terminal lead carbon lineup — delivering premium partial-state-of-charge energy-storage performance in the same slim 4.92-inch wide front-terminal format as the CLC150-12FT. It is also suitable for off-grid energy storage installations where front-terminal cabinet access is preferred.
As the largest front terminal model in the Canbat CLC lineup, the CLC210-12FT also serves as a 12V 210Ah lead carbon battery for rack and cabinet systems where maximum reserve capacity is required without increasing the number of batteries in the string. Four 12V CLC210-12FT batteries can be configured in series as a 48V 210Ah battery string where system design requires it. Commonly used as a replacement front-access lead carbon battery in large telecom infrastructure, remote power sites, and high-capacity rack-mounted energy storage systems.
UL 1989 Certification
UL 1989 certification provides third-party verification of battery safety and performance requirements for sealed lead acid batteries. The CLC210-12FT is certified to UL 1989, the Underwriters Laboratories standard covering electrical performance, mechanical integrity, and safety requirements including overcharge tolerance and short circuit protection. As a valve-regulated sealed lead acid battery, the CLC210-12FT does not carry the thermal runaway profile associated with lithium-ion energy storage systems and does not require a Battery Management System for cell-level protection — simplifying installation and reducing system complexity for indoor, rack-mounted, and remote-site energy-storage applications. The CLC210-12FT 12V 210Ah Lead Carbon Front Terminal Battery features a slim front-terminal case — 4.92 inches wide — designed for rack-style and cabinet installations, including 19-inch and 23-inch telecom power systems where dimensions, shelf rating, and cable clearance are verified. Despite delivering 210Ah of reserve capacity, the CLC210-12FT maintains the same slim 4.92-inch front-terminal width as the CLC150-12FT — making it the highest-capacity front terminal option in the Canbat CLC lineup. Front-access M8 terminals allow all cable connections, voltage checks, torque checks, and service work to be performed from the front of the rack — eliminating the need for overhead clearance, simplifying cable management, and reducing service time during inspection and battery replacement in tight cabinet environments. An integrated carry handle supports handling and positioning during installation.
Carbon added to the negative electrode improves charge acceptance and helps reduce sulfation under partial-state-of-charge conditions — a common failure mode of standard AGM batteries in telecom, solar, and remote-power applications where batteries are rarely recharged to 100% daily. The carbon additive acts as a supercapacitor layer within the negative plate, improving conductivity and helping maintain plate integrity under the irregular recharge patterns common in telecom infrastructure and renewable energy systems.

Cycle life is dependent on depth of discharge, charging profile, operating temperature, and maintenance practices. Shallower discharge depths deliver substantially more cycles than operation at full depth of discharge.
Compared with standard AGM batteries, the CLC210-12FT is better suited to deeper cycling and partial-state-of-charge operation. In properly designed energy-storage systems, lead carbon technology can support deeper discharge profiles, up to 80% DoD where system design allows, while maintaining stronger cycle performance than conventional AGM batteries under demanding partial-state-of-charge conditions.
For telecom and remote infrastructure applications where the battery primarily operates on float standby and is discharged only during outages, the CLC210-12FT is rated for a 20+ year design floating life at 20°C.
