Description
BPR110048000
The BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it has insufficient power left to crank the engine.
The BatteryProtect is a uni-directional device. It can only deal with current in one direction, so either current to a load, or current from a charger, but not both currents at the same time. In addition to this, current only can only flow from the Battery terminal to the Load terminal. In case of use with a load, the battery connects to the Battery terminal, and in case of use with a charger, the charger connects to the Battery terminal.
By using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, you can set all required on / off thresholds. Alternatively, one of nine pre-set on / off thresholds can be set using the programming pin (see manual).
If necessary, the Bluetooth function can be switched off.

I recently added the Victron Smart BatteryProtect 48 V–100 A (BPR110048000) to my 48V solar system, and it’s been quietly doing its job without fanfare. It protects my lead-carbon bank from deep discharge by cutting power to non-essential loads when voltage drops, then reconnects automatically when the battery recovers. The Bluetooth setup via VictronConnect made configuring the cutoff thresholds simple, and I appreciate that peak currents up to 250 A are handled gracefully during starting events. It’s compact, solid state (no buzzing relays), and draws almost no standby power — exactly what you want when you’re running without constant supervision. Ideal for protecting your battery bank in off-grid or backup setups.
