The Canbat 12V 1.3Ah SLA battery is a valve-regulated sealed lead acid (VRLA) battery designed for compact standby and light cyclic applications. Featuring lead calcium alloy plate construction and absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology, the battery delivers maintenance-free operation, a self-discharge rate below 2% per month, and reliable float performance across a 20+ year design floating life at 20°C. At 3.82 × 1.69 × 2.04 in and 1.26 lbs, it is one of the smallest 12V sealed lead acid batteries in the Canbat lineup — suited to space-constrained enclosures where a minimal 12V footprint is required. Typical Applications
The CBL1.3-12 is designed for float standby duty in compact 12V systems with low current draw and short discharge durations. At 1.3Ah and 12V, it is suited to small-format alarm control panels, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, compact emergency lighting units, exit sign backup, access control keypads, 12V DC control systems, and small medical or diagnostic devices. The CBL1.3-12 is commonly used as a replacement 12V 1.3Ah SLA and AGM battery in residential and light commercial security systems, emergency lighting units, and access control equipment where a minimal 12V footprint is required.
UL 1989 Certification
The CBL1.3-12 is certified to UL 1989, the Underwriters Laboratories standard for sealed lead acid batteries, covering electrical performance, mechanical integrity, and safety requirements including overcharge tolerance and short circuit protection. Certification is issued following independent third-party laboratory evaluation — not manufacturer self-declaration.

VRLA AGM Construction
The CBL1.3-12 12V 1.3Ah SLA battery uses valve-regulated absorbent glass mat (AGM) construction, with electrolyte immobilized within puncture resistant micro-porous glass mat separators. The sealed recombinant cell design prevents acid emission under normal operating conditions and permits installation in any orientation. Lead calcium alloy plate construction eliminates watering requirements, reduces gassing, and supports low self-discharge performance. Batteries stored at 25°C may be held up to six months before a refresh charge is required; storage at elevated temperatures reduces this interval.
