Description
Ryobi 48V 60Ah Lithium Battery Replacement Kit
The GC2-60-48-Ryobi is a high-capacity upgrade built for riders needing extended runtime beyond what a standard battery can deliver. Using two GC2-30-48 LiFePO₄ modules linked in parallel, this system provides a full 60Ah of capacity, offering substantially longer mowing time, higher sustained discharge current, and noticeably steadier blade speed under load compared to sealed lead-acid.
This is the ideal upgrade for large lawns, heavy cutting resistance, hilly terrain, or users who simply don’t want to stop mid-mow to recharge.
Built for Large Yards, Thick Grass & Long Sessions
Where a 30Ah kit suits average properties, the Ryobi 48V 60Ah lithium battery replacement is designed for acreage and demanding mowing.
Most users can expect ~1.3–2.0+ acres per charge, depending on:
• Deck width
• Grass height/density
• Terrain incline
• Cutting speed + blade type
Expect:
✔ Double the runtime of 30Ah
✔ Minimal voltage drop under load
✔ Cleaner & more consistent cut quality
✔ No mid-session downtime
✔ Steady performance near empty
What’s Included in the 60Ah Kit
• 2 × GC2-30-48 48V 30Ah LiFePO₄ modules (60Ah total)
• Parallel connection busbar (links modules into one pack)
• 48V lithium charger with fast recharge compatibility
• Lithium battery fuel gauge monitoring (optional)
• Smart BMS inside each module for full system protection
• Connection + installation guidance
Dual-BMS architecture provides redundancy, cell balancing, thermal control, and charge/discharge protection.
Compatible Ryobi Models
Compatible with Ryobi platforms that use the removable lead-acid tray, including:
RY48110, RY48111, RY48112, RY48130, RY48131,
RY48ZTR75, RY48ZTR100, RY48ZTR100VNM
If your machine uses the SLA tray, this pack is almost always compatible.
Installation Overview

Who Should Choose the 60Ah Kit?
Choose 60Ah if you:
✔ Mow more than 1 acre at a time
✔ Encounter dense, wet or tall grass regularly
✔ Want one-charge full property coverage
✔ Use a zero-turn and need more draw capacity
✔ Don’t want to recharge mid-session
A 30Ah kit suits smaller areas — many customers start with 30Ah and expand to 60Ah later.
10-Year Warranty | Canbat Lithium Batteries | Direct Technical Support
Built for Reliability
Every Canbat lithium battery is built for long-term performance and dependable service. Each battery undergoes quality control before leaving our facility, helping ensure it meets the standards customers expect from Canbat. When you choose Canbat, you're investing in a battery engineered for years of reliable use, backed by a team that stands behind the products we manufacture. Should you ever have questions about your battery, our technical support team is available 24/7.
10-Year Warranty
Canbat lithium batteries are backed by a 10-year limited warranty from the original purchase date, giving you long-term protection and confidence in your investment. This warranty reflects the reliability of our lithium battery design, the quality control behind every unit, and Canbat's commitment to supporting customers long after the sale. If a manufacturing defect occurs within the warranty period, Canbat will assess the battery and provide warranty support in accordance with the coverage terms below.
The warranty period begins on the original purchase date shown on your invoice or order confirmation. Installation date, first use date, or storage period after purchase does not extend or restart the warranty period.
Non-Transferable Warranty
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser listed on the original invoice, order confirmation, or authorized dealer or reseller purchase receipt. The warranty cannot be transferred, assigned, or extended to any subsequent owner, second-hand purchaser, private buyer, or other person or entity.
Proof of original purchase is required for all warranty claims. Customers may submit warranty claims directly to Canbat, regardless of whether the product was purchased from Canbat or from an authorized dealer or reseller, provided valid proof of purchase is supplied.
Valid proof of purchase must show the original purchase date, product model, seller information, and purchaser information. Canbat may decline warranty coverage if valid proof of original purchase cannot be provided.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover damage or failure resulting from the following conditions, including but not limited to:
| Category | Examples |
| Improper installation | Loose connections, undersized cabling, incorrect series or parallel wiring, reverse polarity, improper mounting |
| Improper charging system or settings | Use of an incorrect charger, incorrect charging profile, charging outside the battery's published specifications, repeated operation outside recommended voltage limits, improper system wiring, or damage caused by external charging equipment or system configuration issues |
| Improper use | Use in applications the battery was not designed for, use of an undersized battery for the application, excessive load, or operation outside the battery's published specifications |
| Environmental damage | Operation, charging, or storage outside the battery's published temperature specifications, exposure to fire, water damage, impact, or collision |
| Poor maintenance | Corroded terminals, dirt or chemical build-up on the casing, or improper storage conditions |
| Communication wiring | Incorrect communication wiring, failure to connect required communication cables, or use of incompatible communication devices where applicable |
| Tampering or modification | Opening, modifying, or tampering with the battery, or removal of serial numbers or manufacture date codes |
| Normal end of life | Batteries that have reached their normal cycle life limit, even if still within the warranty period. Each battery is designed to deliver a finite number of charge and discharge cycles, and Canbat reserves the right to deny a claim if the battery is determined to have reached its normal end of life. |
| Shipping damage | Damage caused during return shipping or mishandling of the battery |
If a battery is found to have been used improperly or outside the battery's published specifications, warranty coverage may be declined. In some cases, the customer may be responsible for applicable repair or return shipping costs.
Reporting and Return
Customers should notify Canbat promptly after first becoming aware of a defect or malfunction. Lithium batteries left in a fault, protection, or low-voltage state will continue to degrade over time — delayed reporting may result in additional damage that falls outside warranty coverage.
All warranty claims require the original battery to be returned to Canbat for inspection before any resolution is provided. The battery must be shipped within 30 days of receiving return authorization, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Lithium batteries must be shipped in accordance with applicable dangerous goods regulations, and persons shipping lithium batteries must hold the appropriate Hazmat certification. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs. Canbat will provide return shipping instructions upon authorization and may assist with discounted shipping rates upon request.
How Coverage Works
Coverage is structured in two periods:
| Period | Coverage |
| Years 1–3 | Free replacement for approved manufacturing defect claims. |
| Years 4–10 | Free repair for approved manufacturing defect claims. |
Customers are eligible for one (1) replacement over the life of the warranty. Subsequent claims will qualify for repair service only. In the rare event that the battery cannot be repaired, we offer a 30% discount towards a replacement.
Warranty Replacement Discount
If a battery is not eligible for free replacement under the warranty terms, Canbat may offer a 30% warranty replacement discount toward a replacement battery of the same or equivalent model. This option is intended to help customers reduce replacement costs in cases where replacement is the appropriate resolution, the battery is outside the full replacement period, or the issue is determined to fall outside warranty coverage. To qualify for this replacement discount, the original battery must be returned to Canbat at the customer's expense for inspection. The offer is valid for 30 days from the date of notification.
