The Canbat CLI100-12LT is a 12V 100Ah lithium battery specifically designed for cold temperatures. The Battery features advanced LiFePO4 technology, M8 terminals, a robust BMS and a built-in automatic heater. The battery can be charged at temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F). Our advanced temperature control feature draws only 60W of power from the charger so no additional components are needed for your system. The Canbat CLI100-12LT is a UL-certified 12V 100Ah cold weather LiFePO4 battery. This 12V 100Ah lithium battery can be connected in parallel up to 4 units of the same model to create a 12V 200Ah,12V 300Ah, or even 12V 400Ah battery. It Can also be connected in series up to 4 units of the same model to create a 24V 100Ah, 36V 100Ah, or even 48V 100Ah battery.
In cold temperatures, the BMS ( battery management system) disconnects from the cells to protect your battery. Before charging, the built-in heating systems draw power from the charger to warm the battery.
The battery is made for use in all deep cycle applications such as off-grid solar, RV, marine, camping, and backup power systems. This 12V 100Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate battery can also be used to replace standard lead-acid batteries in the use of mobility scooters, UPS systems, fire alarm systems, access control systems, and medical devices. They are growing in popularity for military and aerospace applications. The CLI100-12LT battery is engineered with lithium cells offering superior performance and higher reliability as they can be used for power storage solutions or as power sources. I have tested two CLI100-12LT batteries in my Westfalia during a 5,000 kilometre trip and they have performed better than stated and expected. I no longer have to hear my wife complain about not having enough DC power to enjoy our off-grid stopovers. We can literally travel anywhere across Canada without worrying about whether we’ll make it to the next morning. Our load in our motorhome includes the refrigerator and furnace. We also have a few smaller electronics running like the TV and laptop charging. These LiFePO4 batteries are Pricey upfront no doubt, but over the long-term, these batteries are worth every penny for our off-grid power supply peace of mind. Lithium is known to be more economical than its lead-acid batteries considering the difference in the cycle life. Overall, I’m very satisfied with these lithium batteries, and I would recommend them to anyone who may camp in sub-freezing weather, which they handle perfectly. I was born and raised in London, Ontario. Extreme cold weather is nothing new to me. My girlfriend and I live far from the city and we’ve always faced issues accessing reliable power, especially in the winter. Our house is not connected to the grid. Well, there is no grid where we are anyway. We have an off-grid solar system and every winter we suffer. Batteries just don’t work well in the cold. I recently ordered a 100AH low temperature w/ Bluetooth. Shipping to the US was fast, free, and without problems. The current exchange rate is favorable too (prices are in CAD). I’ve tested 2 full cycles to 100AH with a test meter at 20 amps and the voltage was still 12.35 at 100AH under the 20A load with a 72F battery temperature. Obviously there is a bit more than 100 AH available — Very nice to see this. Charging showed 100.6 AH back in, which is about 99.4% efficiency. The Bluetooth phone app worked great, and displays the percent capacity remaining, voltage, amps, and even the cell voltages. I already had a Victron 712 battery monitor in the camp trailer, and if I’d bought this Bluetooth battery first I’d skip the 712 because the Canbat Bluetooth does almost everything the 712 does.

The bluetooth module and related software is great to know what is going on with the battery. I have used the battery just barely but will be camping with it shortly and give it a good work out.
