I bought this battery to power a field-charging system for LiPo batteries used in my radio-controlled model airplanes. I needed to add an anti-spark connector (XT90) between the LiFePO4 battery and my LiPo charger because the battery management system in the LiFe battery would shut down whenever I connected the LiPo charger. My guess is that the LiPo charger has some big capacitors in its DC input circuit that the LiFe BMS interpreted as a short circuit or an over-current surge in the first moments of connection, tripping its self-protection function. Once I added the anti-spark connector to the charger input connection, the LiFePO4 battery performed flawlessly as a power source for my field charger.
