Battery Management System

Charger Compatibility and Installation
The GC2-30-48 requires a 48V LiFePO4-compatible charger. Lead-acid golf cart chargers that charge above 58V or use equalization modes are not compatible and should be replaced with a lithium-compatible unit. I installed 3 batteries for my 2016 EZGO RXV and they worked great, EXCEPT when going downhill, even when the batteries are fully charged, the batteries would shutdown! This was obviously inconvenient as drive in a hilly neighborhood. Spoke to Mehdi from Canbat and he advised to add a fourth battery, which increases the the overcharge threshold to 240Amps. I haven’t had any other issues since then with RXV.
